Invite
Add someone you know. They become a Drafty only after they accept. There is no random discovery feed hiding around the corner.

Buzz
Got something to say? Buzz them. A Buzz contains no message text. It simply means you want to talk, and the person who Buzzes writes first.

Draft
One person writes at a time. The other person reads the current Draft, then writes a reply when it is their turn.

Replace
The reply replaces the Draft that came before it. There is nothing to scroll back to later. Less archaeology. More conversation.
People, not an audience
Only your Drafties can Buzz you.
Your Drafties are people you invited, or people whose invitation you accepted. That is the social part: a deliberate circle, not a room full of strangers.
Drafty currently uses email to send invitations, but the product idea is simpler than the delivery method: you choose who becomes a Drafty.
The Buzz
A notification with commitment issues.
A Buzz is not a hidden message preview. It says one thing: someone wants to start a live Draft with you. Accept it and the person who Buzzed writes first.
Buzzes expire automatically if they are not answered. No abandoned “hey” sitting there for six months.
One thought at a time
No pile-up. No scrollback.
Drafty keeps the live conversation focused on what is being said now. One person writes, the other reads, then the reply replaces the previous Draft.
No history
Drafty does not provide a conventional message-history view.
60 seconds
Switch apps briefly and you have a 60-second grace period to return to the same Draft.
Your turn
Only one person writes at a time, so there is no typing over each other.
Privacy and safety
Temporary by design.
Not magically uncopyable.
Capture detected?
Draft over.
Draft over.
When iOS reports a screenshot, screen recording, mirroring, or screen sharing during an active Draft, Drafty ends that Draft automatically.
No fake promises.
Drafty cannot stop a screenshot that has already happened or guarantee every form of capture will be detected. If something must never be retained, do not put it on a screen.
Report
Users can report another Drafty for safety and abuse review.
Block
Block a Drafty to stop invitations, Buzzes, and new Drafts between you.
Delete
Account deletion is available inside Settings in the app.

Does Drafty keep my chat history?
No conventional chat history is available in Drafty. Live Draft text is temporary and follows the active session lifecycle; each new contribution replaces what came before.
Can random people message me?
No. Drafty is built around accepted Drafty relationships. You invite someone, or accept their invitation, before you can Buzz each other.
What happens if I leave the app?
A brief app switch gets a 60-second grace period. Return within that time and the same Draft resumes. Stay away longer and the Draft ends.
Does Drafty prevent screenshots?
No app can make that promise. Drafty ends the active Draft when iOS reports a screenshot or active screen capture, but it cannot undo a capture that already happened or guarantee every capture method will be detected.

Yes. Drafty is an invite-based private chat and messaging app for one-to-one conversations with friends, family and people you choose. There is no random discovery feed and no public audience.
Is Drafty a live chat app?
Yes. Drafty is built around live chat. Both people enter the same Draft, one person writes at a time, and each reply replaces what came before instead of creating a permanent message thread.
Is Drafty a messaging app?
Yes, but it behaves differently from a conventional messaging app. Drafty focuses on private, temporary conversation rather than accumulating a searchable chat history.
Is Drafty available on Android?
Drafty is built for iPhone. Android is not part of the current app.
